Experience and Honors

After graduating with a master’s degree in science journalism at Boston University’s Center for Science and Medical Journalism, I have freelanced for a number of magazines and websites, including the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, the Alzheimer Research Forum, Life’s Little Mysteries, and Sky & Telescope magazine.

In 2010, I was awarded the American Astronomical Society’s Solar Physics Division Award for Popular Writing, for my 2009 Sky & Telescope cover feature, Solar Impact.

During my time at Technology Review, we have won honors in the 2009 Folio Magazine’s Editorial Excellence Awards: Gold for Best Online News Coverage; Silver for Best Online Community and Silver for Best Technology/Computing Website. In 2008 we won Gold for Best Full Issue, Technology/Computing (May 2008 issue) and Gold for Best Online Community.
