This skiing robot was presented at the IEEE IROS conference last week, posted by the IEEE blog Automaton. Researchers at the Jozef Stefan Institute in Slovenia developed an autonomous skiing robot that can slowly wind around red flags and down a slope using a camera and force and gyro sensors.
